J. Robert “J.R.” Harris Explorer & Author J.R.’s family lived in public housing and he grew up on the mean streets of New York City. Out of these humble beginnings, Harris launched himself on expeditions around the world in search of adventure and self-discovery, eventually becoming a prominent explorer and author of “Way Out There: Adventures of a Wilderness Trekker.” In this lively, upbeat, interactive Zoom presentation, Harris reflects on his background and experiences to show how young people from diverse backgrounds can set their own goals and achieve them. WE CONTINUE TO SUPPORT I-HELP
TO HELP THE UNSHELTERED Interfaith Housing & Emergency Lodging Program (I-HELP) provides shelter, meals, life necessities and social services for unsheltered men and women. LILM supports these efforts by providing meals, clothes, small gifts and toiletries for both the men and the women. I-HELP website |
We have also teamed with local restaurants to provide healthy and tasty meals, like this one from a local Chinese restaurant.
